WELCOME TO E-PUBEN’S PAGE!
Here you will find information about our beloved E-puben.
HHUS run E-puben as a legit student pub and it is the obvious go-to spot for the members of the association, however, all students over 18 with a membership at Umeå Studentkår, NTK, or Umeå Medicinska Studentkår are more than welcome. Students from other campuses are also welcome through a Umeå Studentkår guest pass.
Today’s E-puben differs in many ways compared to how it all started. E-puben arose in a basement in Ålidhem as an underground club and today it is one of the most popular student pubs in Umeå. We thank our dedicated committee members who are constantly working to keep the pub rolling! Our committee consists of 13 students who are working as “KC” (Kvällschefer - evening managers). Every night these KC’s needs a team to work with, and we are more than happy to see old and new faces – everyone is welcome. This is a perfect opportunity to get to know new people and learn something new in the bar (or in the closet).
The “E” in E-puben stands for Economist, even though the Pub Committee has representatives from IE and UMPE. For us, E-puben is a pub where all programs are welcome. Thus, we have a breadth of events such as lectures, gasques, live music, EPP (after-the-bell pub) and nightclubs!

No, E-puben’s alcohol license is for students only.

Yes. It is possible to buy a “guest student union card”. This grants access to all of Umeå’s student pubs. This card can be acquired at the reception of Umeå Studentkår in Samhällsvetarhuset. You can purchase the card for your friend if you have date of birth, full name and a picture of his or hers “kårleg”. The price is 100 kr and will cover the whole semester.

The biggest perk is that you will meet new amazing people. You don’t need to have any past experience to work; we will teach you everything you need.
But we also want to give something back (except great company and food for the night). Therefore, we have a VIP-queue for those who work as well as a point system. The point system grants the highest point earners access to the ‘E-puben All Stars’ which consists of two sittningar and yearly trip.

We have many sets of playing cards, two sets of UNO, and some Jenga towers!
Come by the bar or talk to someone who works at the pub for the evening. It’s free to borrow, you only have to hand in your ID-card as a “deposit”.

Want to book E-Puben?
Our goal is to fill E-puben with great events as often as possible for all students in Umeå. We love working with all different programs at the University and together make these great events happen!
Send us your inquiry as early as possible to be sure that the date you would like isn´t booked by someone else. We would like you to contact us latest 4 weeks before the event you´re planning (exceptions can be made).

“The purpose of this policy is to clarify how the E-pub work system works, in order to have something to rely on if any uncertainty appears. Not only should the Pub committee be aware of this system, but also every student who visits or wants to visit the E-Pub.”

The VIP-Queue allows people who work at E-puben’s events to skip the normal queue at different events.
In order to use the VIP-Queue you need a VIP-Pass. These are earned when working at different events. The VIP-Pass is single-use pass that grants access to the VIP-Queue. When you work an event, you get a VIP-Pass for a event of the same kind. That is:
Work at an EPP – receive a VIP-pass for an EPP.
Work at a Troubadour – receive a VIP-pass for a Troubadour.
Work at a sittning or E-puben Nightclub – receive a VIP-pass for an E-puben Nightclub.
You are free to choose what event you want use your VIP-pass. Usage of the VIP-Pass has to be informed to the evening manager (KC) at latest 12:00 the same day as the event you intend to use the VIP-Pass.
VIP-Passes are valid throughout your study time

When working at E-puben’s events, you receive points which accumulate over the year. At the end of each semester and study year, the highest points earners get to participate in the E-puben All Stars events.
Work at an EPP – receive 1 point toward E-puben All Stars.
Work at a Troubadour – receive 2 points toward E-puben All Stars.
Work at a sittning or E-puben Nightclub – receive 3 points toward E-puben All Stars.
These point accumulate over the course of the study year. After each study year, the points system resets.

E-Puben All Stars are exclusive events for E-pubens most important workers. These are the people who have accumulated the most points over the course of a single semester and the study year.
At the end of each semester the top 20 workers of the semester are invited to the E-puben All Stars sittning. These sittningar coincides with the ‘bartömning’ and celebrates the semester gone by and the workers who have contributed to making all the events possible.
