Here you will find information about our beloved E-puben.
HHUS run E-puben as a legit student pub and it is the obvious go-to spot for the members of the association, however, all students over 18 with a membership at Umeå Studentkår, NTK, Umeå Medicinska Studentkår or Skogis are more than welcome. Students from other campuses are also welcome through a Umeå Studentkår guest pass.
Today’s E-puben differs in many ways compared to how it all started. E-puben arose in a basement in Ålidhem as an underground club and today it is one of the most popular student pubs in Umeå. We thank our dedicated committee members who are constantly working to keep the pub rolling! Our committee consists of 14 students who are working as “KC” (Kvällschefer - evening managers). Every night these KC’s needs a team to work with, and we are more than happy to see old and new faces – everyone is welcome. This is a perfect opportunity to get to know new people and learn something new in the bar (or in the closet).
The “E” in E-puben stands for Economist, even though the Pub Committee has a representative from IE. For us, E-puben is a pub where all programs are welcome. Thus, we have a breadth of events such as lectures, sittningar, live music, EPP (after-the-bell pub), karaoke, nightclubs and much more

No, E-puben’s alcohol license is for students only, , but if you have a union card on another campus you can buy a guest pass from Umeå Studentkår.

Yes. It is possible to buy a “guest student union card”. This grants access to all of Umeå’s student pubs. This card can be acquired at the reception of Umeå Studentkår in Samhällsvetarhuset. For more information regarding guest membership, https://www.umeastudentkar.se/en/member/.

The biggest perk is that you will meet new amazing people. You don’t need to have any past experience to work; we will teach you everything you need.
But we also want to give something back (except great company and food for the night). Therefore, we have a VIP-queue for those who work as well as a point system. The VIP-queue ensures that you don’t have to stand in line for the next event you want to attend at E-Puben. The point system grants the highest point earners from every semester access to an exclusive sittning.

We have many sets of playing cards, two sets of UNO, and some Jenga towers and so much more!
Come by the bar or talk to someone who works at the pub for the evening. It’s free to borrow, you only have to hand in your ID-card as a “deposit”.

Want to book E-Puben?
Our goal is to fill E-puben with great events as often as possible for all students in Umeå. We love working with all different programs at the University and together make these great events happen!
Send us your inquiry as early as possible to be sure that the date you would like isn’t booked by someone else. We would like you to contact us latest 4 weeks before the event you’re planning (exceptions can be made).

“The purpose of this policy is to clarify how the E-pub work system works, in order to have something to rely on if any uncertainty appears. Not only should the Pub committee be aware of this system, but also every student who visits or wants to visit the E-Pub.”

The "Skipping-the-line system" allows people who work at E-puben’s events to skip the normal queue at different events.
In order to use your points for skipping the line, you need to have worked at events at E-puben. The "Skipping-the-line points" are single-use points that grant access to skipping the line. When you work an event, you get the amount of points that the event is worth.
That is:
Work at an EPP - you get 1 point.
Work at a Pubcrawl - you get 2 points.
Work at a Sittning - you get 3 points.
Work at a Nightclub - you get 4 points.
Work at a Troubadour – you get 6 points.
You are free to choose what event you want to use your points at. To skip the line, you need to contact the Vice Head of E-puben at the latest 12.00 AM the same day. If you do not write in advance, you are not guaranteed to skip the line. You need to be at the E-Pub at least 5 minutes before opening
"Skipping-the-line points" are valid throughout your study time.

When working at E-puben’s events, you receive points which accumulate over the year. At the end of each semester and study year, the highest points earners gets an invite to E-Puben exclusive (free) sittning each semester.
Work at an EPP – receive 1 point toward E-puben All Stars.
Work at a Pubcrawl - receive 2 points toward E-puben All Stars.
Work at a Sittning - receive 2 points toward E-puben All Stars.
Work at a Nightclub - receive 3 points toward E-puben All Stars.
Work at a Troubadour – receive 3 points toward E-puben All Stars.
These points accumulate over the course of the study year. After each study year, the points system resets.

E-Puben All Stars are exclusive events for E-pubens most important workers. These are the people who have accumulated the most points over the course of a single semester and the study year.
At the end of each semester the top workers of the semester are invited to the E-puben All Stars sittning. These sittningar coincides with the ‘bartömning’ and celebrates the semester gone by and the workers who have contributed to making all the events possible.
