Student Representatives & Contact Information
Here you can find information about what happens when an issue is reported to us and where it goes next, from the first contact to how it is followed up. We describe the different steps in a calm way, so you can see who is involved and what you can expect along the way. You also find contact details for each programme monitor, so it is easy to see who you can turn to when you have questions or want to share something about your studies. There is also a part for student representatives, with a bit of extra support, examples and tips for how to feel more confident in the role.

Explanation of what happens:
If you ever have thoughts or questions about your studies, you are welcome to talk to your student representative or reach out to your programme monitor. They are there to listen, understand what is going on and help find a good way forward, often together with the course responsible.
Sometimes an issue needs a bit more attention. In those cases, it is brought to the Education Committee, where we look at whether it relates to your education or if it belongs under SAMO. Education matters are handled by the monitor or the Head of Education. SAMO matters go to the Vice Head of Education, who is the association’s SAMO, and may be passed on to Umeå Studentkår or the Prefekt. You can always check in with your monitor if you want an update on how things are moving along.

Meet Sarah Gherezghir, the monitor for SMP. If you are an SMP student, this is the monitor you contact when you have questions about your courses, want to share feedback or feel that something in your studies is not working as it should.

Meet Nellie Rose Bergman, the monitor for CEP. If you are a CEP student, this is the monitor you contact when you want to raise course related issues, share your experiences or get help figuring out where to turn with a study question.

Meet Adam Tegström Dahmani, the monitor for HLP. If you are an HLP student, this is the monitor you contact when you have thoughts about your courses, the study situation or ideas for how things could be improved.

Meet Ali Al-hasane, the monitor for IBEP. If you are an IBEP or IBP student, this is the monitor you contact when you have questions about your studies, want to give feedback on a course or need support as an international or Swedish student in the programme.

Meet Christian Sandberg, the monitor for EKP. If you are an EKP student, this is the monitor you contact when you want to talk about your study situation, lift recurring issues or share feedback that you think should reach teachers or the Education Committee.

Meet Ceren Ademoğlu, the master monitor at USBE. If you are a master student in any programme, this is the monitor you contact when you have questions, want to share feedback or need support. There are no separate class reps at master level, so the master monitor is your main student voice in the Education Committee.
